1956 International 4x4 Pickup Truck

Haven't posted on here for a while but this one needed to be captured before someone gets lucky and buys it!  This one is especially tough because it is for sale in my home town!

This listing is for a 1956 International Harvester IHC S-120 3/4 Ton 4x4 longbed pickup truck. It was originally purchased in Cle Elum, and lived there most of its life as a farm truck. I am the third owner, and the truck currently has just over 46,500 original miles. The truck comes equipped with the original 220 cubic-inch Silver Diamond engine and a floor mounted 4-speed manual transmission. It has a high and low range transfer case, effectively providing 8 forward gears and of course, reverse.

The truck also comes with the original factory build sheet showing it is a 3/4 ton truck. The build sheet also lists both the extended front bumper and 8,000 pound Ramsey PTO driven front winch as factory options. The hardware for the 8 foot dump bed was added somewhere around 1960. It is supplied with hydraulic fluid from a reservoir in the engine bay, and driven by a belt-driven hydraulic pump. Two large cylinders lift the bed, which holds just over one yard of material. The Setina push bumpers were added to allow the truck to push another vehicle.

I once used the winch to pull a car in Park with the emergency brake on and it did not make any difference. Another time I accidentally buried both right wheels up to the axles in mud, and just put the truck in 4-wheel drive and literally pulled out of it without any hesitation. I can't think of a situation it would not drive through.

It has a rebuilt carburetor, new tires with inner tubes, and recent tune-up. It does need to have the rear lights rewired, but you could drive it now and fix them later. The heater, wipers, and all other lights work. I hold a clear WA state title, registration, and tags for the truck. It can be driven anywhere, and I will arrange delivery anywhere in WA for a full-price offer and reimbursement of fuel costs. If you need a work horse pickup at 1/4 the cost of a new truck (which probably has less capability), this is for you.
